New Security SystemPlease be advised that the security upgrades to the door and camera system have been completed. A few tweaks to the systems will take place but no interruptions of usage of the club facility's are foreseen. A reminder that your old key fob will not work with the new system. New key fobs are available at the club every Friday night at no charge to current holders. Fridays are now reserved for IPSC only as set up for matches is required. The door system will be set up so that entrance to the club will be limited on that day. Steel targets have become a problem at the club so usage must now be supervised under a certified range officer only. We have provided hanging plastic jugs at the back of the middle bay that may be used. Please replace them in the back of the backstop after use. B34 PPC targets are now available and larger versions are coming. If using photocopied targets please use a backer to lower them so shots do not go over the primary backstop as marked on the rubber. Only approved targets may be used on the range. Please note that no member may make purchases of items or services for the club without prior approval from the Board of Directors. If items are purchased without approval they will not be reimbursed. To expedite better communications from the Board of Directors (BoD) the following policy has been put in place. For clarity any question in regards to the operation of the club not at a general meeting must be put in writing to the BoD. It may be given to any Director who will convey it to the next BoD meeting and it will be discussed and an answer forth coming. No one Director can answer questions for the BoD as they are only one member of a seven person elected council. If there are questions in regards to finances and major maintenance items and the BoD deems it necessary a general meeting may be called with a majority of membership present so there may be discussions and a vote taken if required. The membership must note that decisions in regards to health, safety and security are the sole discretion of the Board. Any and all dealings with the CFO are also a BoD responsibility which will be reported to the membership as a whole as the case need be. The elected Boards primary purpose is the long term viability of the club. The club has a new email address - brrc@brantshootingsports.com.
